Life Motivation: If You Want You Can

Life Motivation: If You Want You Can

How many times you say: I can’t do this? How many times you say: I’ll never get there? How many times you say: I’ll never be this way? Denying our ability to succeed is one of the biggest reasons why we fail.

If you want you can – this statement is so obvious, but each time I hear it, it hits me with the same power. I realize how many things depend on me. Not everything, but a lot. To such an extent that whatever is important for me, I can have it, I can do it, I can be it.

Before I created this blog, I’ve been wondering whether I should start it or not. I’ve been telling myself:

  • I won’t say anything new
  • I won’t reach up to the best ones
  • I won’t give anything valuable

If I listened to my doubts, I would never be here. But at that time I had to be clear with myself:

  • There’s nothing new to be said
  • I dont have to be the best one
  • Even small things can be valuable for someone

It’s all the matter whether I really want it or not. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be revealing. It doesn’t have to be extraordinary. It has to be mine. The way I create it, the way I write it, the way I design it is my unique one. What counts is to give my best as much as I’m able to. Nothing should block me from starting something only because it’s not first class yet.

It applies similarly to every other domain of our life.

If I really want to be healthy, I’ll do whatever it takes to protect myself, to nourish myself, to heal myself, to strengthen myself. But if I don’t care, I’ll give up whenever my health declines. I’ll leave it in hands of other people and in case they won’t be able to help me, I’ll accept it the way it would have to be.

If I really want to have the job of my dreams, I’ll do whatever it takes to learn, to practice, to get experience, to enhance my skills. But if I don’t care, I’ll take whatever is offered to me. I’ll leave it in hands of other people and I’ll go for what they decide to give me. I’ll accept a decent job to pay my bills and I’ll do nothing to find what best suits me.

If I really want an emotional balance in my life, I’ll do whatever it takes to grow my mindset, to develop a new attitude, to improve my reactions, to change my perspective. But if I don’t care, I’ll let my negative habits to destroy me. I’ll leave it in hands of other people to decide for me. I won’t lift a finger to work on my emotions and have a better life.

If you believe you can do the impossible, then you will.

Tim Denning

If you think you can’t do something, it’s just your negative belief. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you want to do something, you’ll always figure out the way. You’ll find the right means, you’ll find the right people, you’ll find the right motivation.

It’s not like what you want exists only for others. It exists for everybody who’s ready to reach for it. Who’s ready to roll up sleeves and work hard. Who’s ready to see things that other people don’t.

How to achieve what you want?

Paint a clear picture of what you want. Plant a seed in your mind. Believe that you can do it. Make your vision a reality. Work for reality. Don’t waste your wings. Fly as high as you’re able to.

Obviously, there will be hurdles on your way, but they will teach you and give you more than you can imagine. Your brain knows how to overcome every obstacle on your way. What really prevents you from overcoming them is your negative emotions. Focus first on them.
